About

I was born Angel Andres Garet Gutierrez on September 3rd, 1986, in Caracas, Venezuela. I am the son of Emilio Garet (Uruguayan, of French and Spanish descent) and Beatriz Gutierrez (Peruvian). Following my parents' divorce, my mother raised my sister and me. After living a few years in Caracas, we moved to the United States in 2002, establishing our home in Charlotte, North Carolina.

 

My formative years were built on discipline and commitment through competitive sports. I played varsity soccer in high school and was part of a competitive club team. This commitment led to a full scholarship for soccer and cross country at South Georgia College, where I earned an Associate's Degree in Science of Criminal Justice in 2010.

 

Right after graduation, I moved back to Charlotte to be near family. The conditioning and strong presence developed through athletics naturally opened the door to the modeling field. Within a year, I was represented by an agency, appearing in runway shows, print campaigns, and commercials. My curiosity quickly evolved into a powerful passion for acting and storytelling after serving as an extra in the first Hunger Games movie, filmed in North Carolina in 2012.

 

Eager to master the craft of film, television, and theater, I immersed myself in classes and took every job opportunity to learn the business. Later that year, knowing I had to be bold and take a risk to pursue my dream, I packed my bags, quit my job, and drove across the country with a single destination in mind:
